With so much snow arriving soon in the Tri-State area, I wonder if images from the area would be shared with others. In Utah, our wallop of snow lasted a couple weeks, but didn't appear to top the "up to 12-inches" snowfall in the mid-atlantic to New England forecasts.

In other words, I wanna see some creative snow figures; or, if you are like me, images of spotless, pristine, shoveled walks and driveways. Two days ago, I shoveled my driveway at 3:00 a.m., 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. just to stay ahead of it all. :-)

Well, it is currently 11:08 AM here in NJ, and as of now all we have gotten is rain. Lots and lots of rain. Perhaps the snow is coming later?

Aww, crap. I was hoping for NYC under a foot of snow. Oh well.

Don't lose hope just yet, it looks like there is some snow mixed in with the rain at the moment.

No accumulation yet, but it looks like it is beginning to stick.

The lawns are covered. The roofs are covered. The cars are covered. The street is covered.

Still less than an inch at the moment, but still coming down.

kraftiekortie hasn't chimed in. I wonder if he is planning his snowman.

If the storm is as big as most weather-heads believe it will be, I hope there are no power outages.

Haven't gone outside with a ruler, but it looks like maybe ten inches at this point, with some snow still coming down.

i've touched snow probably like four or five times in my life.

i can't begin to imagine what it's like to be surrounded by it for several months every year.

In Utah, our economy counts on snow. Apart from the federal military, the snow industry is the largest financial sector in the state. Socially, snow means learning to drive as if a motor vehicle is a surfboard (not kidding). It is a whole new world driving in 4+ inches of snow. So, things like arriving two hours late for work are common and always get shared with coworkers as if the drive was Melville's Moby Dick. Hehe. Kids love the "snow days" of winter.
