Hi there!
I was recently diagnosed with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder, and I'm still trying to make sense of it. My research led me here.

Yes, lurking is a good idea. Unlike most disorders, it can take time to sort out what "flavors" of autism you have. But, as you figure out what issues you have, this site can be a good place to figure out what people have done to get around or cope with them.
I'm lucky enough to work in my own office, with a door that can close when it gets too noisy outside. I also have a "silent wave" wall clock that doesn't make any annoying noises.
