Hi!

After years of searching for a neurodiverse community I have decided to join this site. I lurked a bit on here in the past and it seems like a cool place to share some of my experiences and connect with others with ASD. I’ve been trying desperately to find a group within the community where I live, but I couldn’t find one and I think this looked like the next best thing.

I’m self employed as a graphic designer. I enjoying playing video games, watching sitcoms, playing the electronic drums, and reading manga. I also love being in the outdoors and going for long walks.

Nice to meet you!

Welcome to the forum, GameCube!

I used to play a bit of electronic drums, too (no space for it at the moment, sadly, so mostly just bass now.) There's a whole load of other performers and artists here, and plenty of folks who like a walk in the great outdoors - seems like it's a favourite "therapy" for a lot of autistic folk.

Best wishes.

I think your the first person who has told me they play electronic drums. That's awesome :)
It's great to know there are other people on this website that like the arts, sounds like I'm in the right place :)

I'd love to be able to set my kit up again. Originally it was just a swap for an acoustic kit, for the benefit of neighbours etc. - but the possibilities when playing with electronic kit sounds and triggering my own samples really hooked me. I've always liked both electronic and "physical" instruments, but always wanted to "play" music rather than spend all my time fiddling with a sequencer, so making electronic music became a whole lot more fun.
