Do you like doing jigsaws? I don't like them because after all that work they go back into the box. I want to glue thsm onto a sheet of wood and preserve the scene. For me to put them back in the box is like destroying all the mental work one has put in.

I did do that with one puzzle once: it was of Tutankhamen’s death mask.
Unfortunately it meant that I could never have the satisfaction of putting it all together again.
Plus it was huge and creeped out everyone else who saw it!

I don't care for them at all. I'm not good at them, I can seriously only do jigsaws for kids. I neither have the patience nor the skill for larger than 25-50 pieces (depending on size and difficulty).

Gluing it together sounds okay if you like the motive and have a place to place it. We glued one once and it just tends to get moved around until we found a box for it, so was kind of a waste.

I used to do them when I was little. They were all massive, like a conference table large.

My father and I did them all the time. It was a tradition that I would buy him a 1000 or 1500 piece puzzle every Christmas. He bought a resin that you can use to seal them together. Sometimes he would frame them or display them in my parents' sunroom. I haven't done one since he died because it would upset me too much.

My grandfather used to love doing jigsaws. I remember when I was a young child we'd go over and he'd be in his usual chair at the table doing a jigsaw puzzle. He was a big fan of trains, especially steam trains and would often build jigsaws of them. I used to love watching him with his jigsaws and often thought I would enjoy doing them.
Well in the end I tried one myself but sadly I couldn't do it. I found trying to fit the pieces really hard and frustrating and my hands suffer from tremors and it made this particular task near impossible to do. That day was the first and last time that I attempted to do a jigsaw puzzle. I enjoy seeing my grandfather do them but know I'll never be able to do them.

They are fun, but I haven't done one for a few years. I'd glue them together on posterboard.
