51 years old.
Nobody believs me when I say I have ASD.
No friends after living 7 years in this town but thats ok, I've always liked it better being on my own.
On my second successful career being a teamleader of 1-2 people.
Burned enough times when it comes to relationships that I'm not looking for a new one.
Have a son with an asperger diagnosis.
Functions socially with people I know a bit, but cannot do small talk.
No problems looking people in their eyes.
Gets frequently misunderstood and misunderstands, or just don't understand at all other people.
Highly sensitive to touch, certain smells and noice.
Gets irony and other, lets say complicated, jokes. And makes them frequently, perhaps too frequently.
Gullable? You can fool me quite easilly, I'll believe the stupidest things.
Perfect proof reader, cannot skim texts.
I've got a couple of interests, but more interesting, methinks, is that there are subjects that I have less than no interest in.
Very low self esteem, quite keen on getting people to like me.
Extremely bad with paperwork, like filling out papers for how much tax to pay.
Cleaning house, doing dishes etc is a disaster, i can handle personal hygien though.

Hi!

/Mats

Hi!

Hi, Welcome to wrong planet. I can related to most of what you wrote, except that I can do small talk, but in a fairly scripted way.

Hi and a very warm welcome to you, Mats :)! I ventured into your part of the world this time, a year ago, and loved it! First time I ever needed clamp-ons on my boots! Love the quiet, the peace and calm found in places like Sweden & Norway. Walking out across a vast fjord ... trying not to fall through the ice as you reach a ladder to climb upward and out ... good memories :).

Welcome to WP!

I can do small talk, depending on my state of mind. My eye contact can be a bit off. Picked up the ability to spot liars and frauds in my teens and 20s. The rest of what you describe sounds like me.

Hi. I'm new here too. People don't really believe my diagnosis either but guess that's a good thing really as that must mean they don't think I'm as weird as I think I am!

Maybe...
I find it hard to convince people that the ventilation system sound is killing my concentration, for example, so it can be problematic not being believed.
