I'd love to have friends close to my age (26 year old female). I haven't been formerly diagnosed, and I wish I could go and get that, but I currently have no insurance.

I just know that I was never good at communicating or being social. I want to understand and hopefully without being shunned.

Hi Fish girl

We have a wide variety of people here, with a broad range of diagnosis.
It's not perfect but most people aim to be inclusive, and have experienced being shunned in real life too.
Have an explore and here is a thread I hope will provide a 'lay of the land' for you.

I'm an actual Goth. Let me tell you, Rome wasn't sacked all in one day, that was some hard work. :clown:

I don't have the pictures to prove it anymore, but they exist. Although I'd also go with bright red, like Robert Smith.

I was involved in a Goth oriented group, years ago.
I quite like the look and the dark energy.

I collect skulls of all kinds and have a goth mannequin in a display case.

I guess you could say I am a Goth aficionado. 8)

have heard from many people that they love the aesthetics.
old classmates of mine too.
but my dad got freaked out and walked away from me, speechless, when i was 14 and he asked me what in that shop he should buy me for a gift and i showed him an outfit similar to the one in that picture.

I imagine your father's culture may have found your choice "interesting".
Which country were you in, at the time?
I gather he didn't buy it for you.
