Same way than in the rest of society. Listen in on the conversations, then join with your own stuff you want to add to the discussion. You might find some people who you connect with.

There is a button on the top that reads "View Your Posts". This is a quick way to look at your past post. Check back periodically and see what other people have said. Then respond to their responses. It is the mechanism that I use for 2 way communications with a time lag.
