Hi I’m new here just diagnosed

Hi I’m 52,
I was diagnosed 2/12/2020, I’d prefer to say confirmed.
I work in IT and if I care too, mask up and appear to be completely NT but in large social gathers are exhausted by about 3-4hrs.
I grew up with a mentally and physically abusive mother who was part of a strict Christian religion. As a first born, the sins of my siblings were mine, punished if I didn’t prevent them and punished if I tried to prevent them.
I attributed my differences and need to mask to surviving the above.

At least I have a way to understand my internal and protected thoughts now. Let alone the other impulsive social behaviour and anxiety.

And I'm double retired from IT and IT it IT the field was good for me but retirement is even better! :D
