This is a rather strange introduction. It almost fits the category of WEIRD. But I will throw in my thoughts.
When I was young, a young child, I had a Ventriloquist Puppet. I would carry on conversations with it. It allowed multiple characters that existed within me to come to the surface and produce conversations.
Humans are very complex creations. We have two sides to our brain. One exist on the right side and normally this is the dominant brain. The right side is a support brain that normally lives in our sleep state, in REM and NREM sleep. If you read the book "Whole Brain Living" by Jill Bolte Taylor, it will give you some idea about our brain structure.
