Hello Everyone!

I've just recently joined so, thanks for accepting me. I am late diagnosed and like most people here, I am interested in finding out more about autism and being on the spectrum generally. I have had a look at some of the messages posted here and found some interesting information already.

And I hope that you got a late diagnosis means you were doing okay without a diagnosis but the diagnosis is still interesting.

That describes my experience, anyways. I was diagnosed at age 64. My diagnosis is mostly only good for entertainment value. My favorite part is sometimes getting to tell my bride:

"I have a doctor's note for that!"
For some reason she is not as amused as I am when I say it.

At the age of 55 I have finally figured out why I am so weird! Well, maybe I'm perfectly normal and everyone else is weird. I haven't decided yet! Great to hear from you all!

In a way, you are correct. Human beings are very unique beings. We have multiple brains. Some exist on the left side of our skull and some on the right side. Some are daytime brains and some exist during our sleep. During our early life, sometimes the dominant left side brain will switch places and we (Autistics) develop as a dominant right side brain.
