I am an asocial regressive Aspie with FASD(Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder(It’s just like ADHD but worse)), I was diagnosed officially with PDD-NOS and ADHD in 2005. But as I got older i was becoming more impulsive than normal ADHD, so in 2017 I was tested and diagnosed with FASD. Because of the Asperger Syndrome & FASD, I don’t fit anywhere on the functionality scale. I am too high functioning for most special needs programs(if not all of them), and too low functioning to live independently(I can barely take care of myself). Other than that, I am a self-taught reader and a fan of classical music.

Welcome to WP! I like classical music, too.

Welcome to Wrong Planet!

I think that people on the higher end of the autism spectrum fall into the grey area between being a fully functional adult, and what the general public would consider a mentality disabled person to be.

I heard someone online refer to Aspergers as "Too weird to be normal, too normal to be weird", I think this best describes how we are precived by the outside world. It's kind of an uncanny valley sort of situation where people can see or feel something is different or off but just can't put their finger on it.

I can also relate to being too high functioning for some things, but also being too low for others. I would suggest googling autistic spiky skill set for more information on this, as it would be little difficult for me to convey through text.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy your time here on WP.

Cheers,

CFL

Pangea1430, Welcome to Wrong Planet.

Living the life of an alcoholic can be very destructive and hard to control and overcome. I live in a very small town of about 2,300 people. But even in my small town they have a small group of former addicts that help others to free themselves from this scourge. It is called Alcoholics Anonymous.

Welcome to WP! I hope you find it interesting.

I also like classical music..but not all of it. In general, I very rarely like singing in any context, including classical music, so I am not a fan of opera. And I only enjoy some instrumental classical music. (For instance, I typically enjoy Beethoven and Bach but not so much Mozart.)

But I seldom listen to any classical music because if it is playing I want to pay attention to it and can't really accomplish anything else.
