They're enthusiastic, fun people. The newer the person is, the nicer they are a lot of the time! They realize they're never going to be in the old crowd, but they don't care about things like that, post count, join date, how many WP veterans they know, the insider or long-timer gossip and references and jokes; they're here for their stimulation and to make friends and talk, and that's what they do. :)

I have to forgive them. I haven't got a clue what those things are.

If it wasn't for newbies WP would become boring and stagnant.

Strangers are only friends we haven't met yet
 I know,it's corny & trite.
I remember WP was a site I stumbled onto the very first day I was diagnosed.
I was important,strident,emotional & confused.
I didn't understand why the whole site wasn't focused on 'THE CURE'
It took me months to settle down & acquire some poise
now I just like to make jokes
its still difficult to hit that submit button...
because sometimes they back-fire.

well, we all have to start sometime. I'm still looking around for pearls of wisdom, since I'm self-diagnosed, but it's the simplest theory that fits, so sharpen Occam's razor...;)
