Asperger's syndrome and antisocial personality disorder have some features in common: tactless social behavior, empathy deficits, and self-orientation. I am curious how rebellious at heart my fellow aspies are.

For each criterion of dissocial personality disorder, decide how well it applies to you personally. If it doesn't apply at all, score it as 0; if it is somewhat applicable, score it as 1; and, if it describes you quite well, score it as a 2. The minimum possible score is 0; the maximum possible score is 12. For an ICD-10 diagnosis of F60.2 dissocial personality disorder, three criteria must be met. I measured myself as having a score of 2.

ICD-10 wrote:

(a)callous unconcern for the feelings of others;
(b)gross and persistent attitude of irresponsibility and disregard for social norms, rules and obligations;
(c)incapacity to maintain enduring relationships, though having no difficulty in establishing them;
(d)very low tolerance to frustration and a low threshold for discharge of aggression, including violence;
(e)incapacity to experience guilt or to profit from experience, particularly punishment;
(f)marked proneness to blame others, or to offer plausible rationalizations, for the behaviour that has brought the patient into conflict with society.

There may also be persistent irritability as an associated feature. Conduct disorder during childhood and adolescence, though not invariably present, may further support the diagnosis.

Includes: amoral, antisocial, asocial, psychopathic, and sociopathic personality (disorder)

Excludes: conduct disorders (F91.-)
emotionally unstable personality disorder (F60.3)

I rebelled at times, but mainly out of frustration of living in world that refused to understand or accept me for who I was.

Imagine spending 13 years of life just wanting to be alone and off doing your own thing, but instead having to put up with NT adults dragging you around by your ear becasue they think they know better since "we were once kids and we know how you behave" - Trying to make you behave like an NT, trying to force you to do NT things, calling you names when you don't want to, while being bullied by NT kids at the same time becasue you don't fit in with them.

You'd rebell too.

I hate todays society. I hate it for what it is, what it stands for, what it was built upon, and where it is going.

I hate society as a whole, but I'm not anti-social towards individual people.

Qualifications:

b - rarely breaks rules, just obligations and norms

Anti-social behaviour disorder is often accompanied by excessive, recidivist criminal behaviour. I do not engage in such activities, my flaws are directed in other ways and I never have conflict with the Law.

Yep,I am REALLY anti-social and it effects my personailty.But mainly that has alot do with shyness and timidness around people.I am actaully pretty nice and caring.

I'm moderately antisocial (as if nobody would have guessed :lol: ), but I do have the ability to be noce and friendly to some people.

Don't worry: You're not antisocial. Shyness and timidity are the exact opposite of antisocial personality disorder. Antisocial personality disorder has more to do with criminality, not caring about others at all, doing what you please in spite of the consequences, lying and manipulating to get your way, and all kinds of other nasty stuff.

"Callous unconcern for the feelings of others," would mean you would do things that could seriously upset people without a blink of sympathy. You could say the cruelest things to someone in mourning and laugh about it; that is psychopathy.

If you do not establish relationships in the first place, you do not meet Criterion c of dissocial personality disorder at all; this criterion means your relationships would be shallow and exploitive; when you've gotten all you can out of a person (like a parasite), you would toss them out like yesterday's trash.

For Criterion e, that means you would do things that have hurt people (even if all you've ever done is relatively minor things) without even being bothered a little bit by it; you just wouldn't consider that you have caused others some kind of suffering and feel you should rectify the problem or improve your personality.

For Criterion f, when you are questioned about why you did something wrong, you would make an excuse like, "I wouldn't have had to have done it if he didn't make me so mad," or, "He would have done the same thing to me." Trust me: I know what this criterion means; when I was younger (13-15), I had quite the temper (this is when I may have experienced a mixed mood episode that led to treatments used on Bipolar I disorder). What baffled my mother most--and what she told the psychiatrist with such astonishment--is how I could have "perfectly logical" (albeit completely egocentric) excuses for everything and seemed to feel completely justified in what I had done.

I also find if funny, I enjoy manipulating people, I just don't do it very often. But not really to get my way, just for fun.
