What would you say?

After being here for a little while, I felt that if someone were to be looking through the introduction threads and found mine, it would not be an accurate description of myself, so to speak.

So I decided to start a thread, that if you wish, you can introduce yourself a second time. Not indroducing your old self, but the new you.

I will start...

My name is Brittany, I am 16 years old and currently resided in New Zealand, the small continent near the bottom of the southern hemisphere.
I was diagnosed with AS in the year 2006, when I was 15 years old.

I am currently unemployed but job hunting...hopefully to find a job which is in my interest soon, as I am moving out of home in 2008. I do want to study photography also in 2008.

My interests include severe weather/storms, photography, animals and writing [nothing specific but mainly poetry]. I am hoping to go to Australia in 2008 to go storm chasing with someone, but not sure if I will have the money or be organised in time. Also, I have an insect phobia and in Australia there are lots of insects, so I am still not to sure about if I will go there or not.

I have several online friends, which I have made over the last few months. They are very nice to me and I am grateful for that. They are in other countries, which is dissapointing, still...nothing I can do though.
I currently do not have any real life friends. It is my new years resolution to make some.

[now, if you wish, indroduce the "new you"].

I don't get it. Do I have to make something up? Or do I say my new years resolutions or what's going to happen to me in the future? Or do I have to introduce the real me again?

I was meaning, that if you feel like you have changed at all, introduce yourself as you would if you had just joined as a member here, but with updated information about you

I was extremely stressed and worried about my sons when I first joined and that has changed. So I'll reintroduce myself ......

Hello. My name is Helen. I am a 34 year old physiotherapist from Australia. I have been happily married for 13 years and we have 3 sons aged 9, 7 and 4. My 9 and 7 year olds have been diagnosed with Asperger's.

My sons have had lots of therapy at Minds and Hearts this year - an Asperger's/Autism clinic. They have made new friends this year and improved their grades. Their anxiety and meltdowns have greatly reduced.

I have also had therapy at Minds and Hearts. I have had a couple of major depressive episodes and continued to suffer depression. However after a few months of therapy I am no longer depressed. :D

I go to Taekwondo with my 3 sons. My oldest son and I have our yellow belts. The other two are white belts.

I have been belly-dancing for almost 4 years.

I work in a major public hospital running a Pulmonary Rehabilitation program. I work with people with COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease egemphysema, chronic bronchitis etc).

Helen

Hi; I'm Katharine and I'll be 20 in less than a month. I'm interested in Aspie communes, clinical depression sufferers and their stories, bears, especially polar bears, other darling, cure, sweet animals, disasters and people in them, AS family dynamics, the Holocaust, Harry Potter, morgues and mortuaries, airport security and some other stuff. I love attention, I'm an attention whore, and I love all my friends here and plan to meet a bunch of them and live with them. :) I was daignosed with AS when I was 14 and depression, anxiety and social phobia jsut this year. :)
