Well I have Aspergers and was diagnosed when I was younger, I don't remember what age it was I would have to ask my mom but it was when I was in elementary school. I'm now a senior in high school and am 19 years old, I actually just turned 19 on the 31st of Jan. I started school up in BC, Canada and then moved back to the states when my parents got divorced and went into 2nd grade and my mom held me back a year to get cought up with the different school setup in the US and such.

I found this site through some searches on Aspergers and thought it was pretty cool so I joined it and hope to meet other people with aspergers on here. I live in NE ohio in Lake county.

Right now my real big interest is helicopters and also computers because I have always been into computers ever since I was little and always will be. I'm taking Cisco networking also and working on getting my A+ certification.

I don't have that many friends but the few that I have are real good friends. I am also friends with this older guy I met online who is a multimillionaire and I really admire him and want to become just as rich as he is but in a different way. I want to invent or come out with some new product to help everyone in the world or just something fancy new technology of some sort. Then I could donate money to various organizations and stuff that need it for a good cause and such. I would obviously use some for myself too but not all of it. Of course if I do become rich and was still interested in helicopters then I might spend 3 million or so and get one for myself. It has to be a jet powered one though, haha. They are pretty expensive though compared to a plane that can do the same stuff.

Hi, welcome!

I live not too far from British Columbia, Seattle in fact. I have been to Vancouver, and I think it is very beautiful!

Enjoy your stay!

How do you think it compares to Canada?

Yeah, they are pretty cool because they can hover and they can carry things around on steel cables attached to them and all. Very sophisticated machines and then the way that they work and all and can control the angle of the blades while they are spinning is all just so cool and amazing.

On Monday my dad got to ride in one working with a radio station and it delivered a new wind turbine for generating electricity because the radio station's original one wore out or something and the tower is located on top of a mountain and is not easy to get to with a Jeep or something to carry something big like that up to it so they had to pay a helicopter company over $600 and hour to get that delivered and all. I made sure to have my dad take some pictures of it an e-mail them to me and he did. He lives in Reno, Nevada so he is pretty far away from me.

Well I was pretty young when I lived there but I know they have higher taxes then the US does so that is a difference. I don't really think that one country either the US or Canada is better then the other. I know the drinking age varies from 18 to 19 in Canada and in the US it is 21 all over so that's a difference. Also Canada seems to be much more accepting of gay people then the majority of the US is. I don't know about a lot of the other differences but those are the ones that I know of. Basicallly as I already said I don't think one is better then the other.

You must be too young to remember Canada!

Well I was like 6 or 7 when we moved back to the US. I remember a lot about what it was like up there and how we would take our car on a ferry to islands that we could drive around and go places on and things like that. I remember the woods and playing in them and miss that even though I'm older and don't "play in the woods" anymore I still miss it. I would still like to go back an walk through the woods. I like walking in nature and seeing all the plants and trees and such. I especially miss the Canadian forest by my house because it was totally different from the woods here in Ohio. They were all pine trees and there were loads of ferns and it was just very different in a way that I liked and miss.

Also I learned how to ice skate and swim there.

So, this must be how Canada contrasts to the US.

I am new to this. As for my condition most of the time I seem to be here but my higher brain functions
are somewhere in a parallel universe. I am 48 years old. My interests are electronic technology (I am a
technician), science, music, & bicycling. As for helicopters they are beyond my reach, for I am rich in
name only.
