Hi everyone.
I've read the wikipedia page and other descriptions, and i match with, at least, half of the symptoms. but how i know for sure?

I'm in my late twenties. I have a huge problem socializing with others. I haven't been able to establish meaningful long term friendships. Lots of people find me awkward or/and boring. I have really few friends and most of them I knew them quite recently. I´m sick and tired of feeling lonely.
I'm close to turning 30 and I feel I haven't lived my life. The people I know are starting to get married of having kids.

I'm a workholic, i work 8 hours at my regular job then I come home and I continue to work in my own projects. I can define myself as obsesive-compulsive too (other people have).
I usually live in a state of anxiety. I must have had about 10 nights of good sleep in the past 15 years.

I live in constant fear of losing the few people I have in my life. That I will say something to them that will offend them deeply. I have done that too. And the worst part I didn't realize. Someone else got to tell me. I didn't have a clue. Now I wonder how many people I must have offended through the years and nobody was there to warm me. That would explain a lot of things.

I heard of this condition for the first time in the show Boston Legal. Though that character, Jerry, resembles nothing like me, I got curious about the disease/conditions and I started researching in the Internet. That's when some things started me to strike as familiar, as I started to put my memories in context. Comments I received all through my life:
-Hey, you talk weird!! (or you use funny words)
-Why do you have to do those funny noises?
-You are talkin too loud. (or You are so intense when you talk. You said things which such passion and security)

And I wasn't talking about ideals or other stuff someone could actually talk with passion. We were talking regular stuff.

I always tended to explain each and every sentence with a rational explations.
-Hey, you talk weird!! (or you use funny words)
- It's because I was raised by old parents which use another type of vocabulary.
-Why do you have to do those funny noises?
- My throat itches..
-You are talkin too loud. (or You are so intense when you talk. You said things which such passion and security)
- It's because I'm little deaf. Or I can't hear your voice clearly.

The thing is I've got my ears checked some ears ago and they couldn´t find the reason I didn´t comprehend some people when they where talking. They said my hearing was perfectly fine.
Regarding my health I can say I´m pretty healthy. Besides one or two attacks of flu each year and some dust and polen allergy, I'm perfectly fine.

I could continue with other stories or a further description, but I don't want to bore you with my problems.
I hope I haven't offended anyone with my letter.

Thank you all for your time.

Welcome EvilMonkey2007! :)

You might have some sort of audio processing disorder. I have a hard time understanding people sometimes (especially on the phone), though I don't know if it qualifies as that.

First of all to find out if you have it or not, the first step is to take the online aspie quizzes. www.rdos.net for one.

And the next step, seeing a doctor who specializes in it. He or she can tell you if you have it or not.

Thanks guys for the support. I really appreciate it!! !
I followed the tip from Spokane_Girl and i took the test from that site and another site I found.
First time I took them I tested negative in both of them.
The second time I responded like when I was a teenager. It came to me that I changed part of my behaviour through the years. (15 minutes later, I read that also)
That's when I tested positive and kind-of positive.
Nevertheless I want to talk to an specialist to confirm this diagnosis.

To tell you the truth, I feel kind of uneasy. I don't want people to think I'm an hypocondriac.
However I know I'm not making up this stuff. In fact, as days goes by, a LOT of things in my life are starting to make sense.
If i really end up being an aspie, I wish I would´ve known 10 years earlier... It would've saved me a lot of grief.
