Hi all! I'm Dan 
, and managed to stumble upon this site yesterday. I came back to look at it again today and decided to sign up. I'm 15, a sophomore in high school, and am a member at the local volunteer fire company. I was diagnosed with AS about 3 years ago and always looking to expand my knowledge on that subject, as well as any other. Hope to meet many new people here and possibly make some new friends. What sort of things do you do at the fire company? Is it like putting out fires in general? I didn't think you could do that at 15.

Not really- Our Fire Company has an Explorer Post (which is a branch of the Boy Scouts of America) which pretty much lets people 14 or older to try some of things involved with the place where the post is located (Firefighting, aviation, scuba to name a few). I can do almost anything at our weekly practices (Practice with hose & tools, Learn different first-aid skills, etc.), however when I respond on a call what I do is limited by PA's Child Labor Laws, at least until September when I turn 16.
