I'm "Mac" and found these boards while looking for some information about AS diagnoses for a psych project I'm doing.

I'm a psych major at a small college and hope to go into the field of autism research, especially given my diagnosis of high functioning autism. My goal is to get a PhD before I'm 30.

Most of my deficiencies are in reading social cues, understanding/interpreting social situations, and understanding nonverbal communication. Academically, I am gifted (apologies if I sound boastful here) and also have talents in music and swimming.

My hobbies include swimming and working on computers. I also am very passionate about my Volvo.

Hello Mac. I'm new to WP too.

That's certainly an achievable goal. A cousin of mine is under 30, and she finished her psych PhD not long ago (from Univ of North Carolina). Good luck with your academic pursuits.
