Hi, I'm Holly. This sounds really silly, but I first found out about AS when I was watching the season before last of America's Top Model, lol. One of the girls on there, Heather, had AS and talked about it at length and all these bells started going off in my head (not literally, of course). I had a lot of the same characteristics she did so I decided to do some research. I almost started crying when I read a list of symptoms required for a diagnosis. I had just about every single one. It was nice though, because it kind of helped me understand that I wasn't the only one who felt out of place in the world. This community seems really special and amazing, so I can't wait to join in.

Hi moonlightwhisp first a big welcome to the "right:" Planet :wink: :roll:

Its great that people in a position like being on "America's Top Model" can help raise awareness and help others understand, I also saw a program and just like you it hit me like a ton of bricks, I cried from shock that I did not know, relief as it explain my differences and the excitement along with lots of confused thoughts..

But happy to say now that now I truly understand I am a very proud Aspie and think I will keep the new me

It's not stupid at all finding out about AS via a tv show. Thats how I first heard of it. Except mine was on a tv show do to with babysitting...something similar to supernanny i think. I hope you enjoy posting here.
