Hello, all. I've been diagnosed with autism at age 3, high functioning. I'm basically here to not only break out of being anti social but also learn more about myself (I'm confused about myself because I'm high functioning with traits more common to lower functioning autistics). This seems like a great community to be a part of so I just joined. Hope to hear from someone soon. Thanks!

I prefer to be called an Aspie who is on the Autism Spectrum (some of us prefer not to say if we are high functioning, low functioning, aspergers, autism...) After all we are all on the spectrum and I agree with you we all share similar traits..

Don't worry about the High Functioning thing, different people like being called different things. Me, I don't really care. Everyone here is something or rather and if you stick around long enough you'll insult someone sooner or later

Hello, everyone! To Izzak, I like the simplicity of the 80's. Things didn't seem so depressing in those days. I watch 80's videos and commercials on youtube all the time. I also like how you could watch commercials or listen to music without feeling like corporations are shoving different images or ideas down your throat. Even though I'm just 21, I still wonder what it would feel like to live in that era. The 2000's just seems boring to me LOL!

yeah, i know what you mean. I grew up in the 90's but love the 80's. A fan of the 70's as well. And also the 20's and 30's.

For my mind it was wide belts and hair spray

what other decade could have thought Cindy Lauper was a sex symbol and it killed the platform shoe as a fashionable accessory... as it should! Not to mention Dexy's Midnight Runners and Flashdance! lol

Cassette players. Videotape tangles. Ghostbusters. Material girls. Materialism. AIDS first makes its appearance. No more easy loving.

No Internet, IPODS, DVDs, Blackberries, HD TV, BluRay.

I lived through the 80s. I would rather live now.
