I am 24 years old, born in Sydney, Australia and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. I was diagnosed with Attention Defecit Disorder when I was young, but looking back on it now I am starting to think more and more that I have Asperger's.

I have all these memories growing up that still stick to me today for whatever reason and going over them they all make just that much more sense now that I have started reading up on Asperger's.

I've read over the forums a bit and I you guys all seem like really nice people. I hope I can fit in well over time.

Hello, ross! Welcome!

When I was 9 I was diagnosed with ADD, too. My mum never thought that the diagnosis was entirely correct. When I was 16 (two years ago) I was diagnosed with AS, which seems to fit perfectly.

All my relatives are still in Australia. I have an aunt in Tasmania and the rest live around Sydney. I just got back from spending two years over there. I worked in Sydney as a baker for a year and a half then travelled for six months, seeing everything at my own pace. The only thing I didn't make it to was Western Australia. The whole experience gave me a newfound knowledge and a base behind my pride in being from Australia, so I really enjoyed it.

ross, that's one more thing we have in common! I live in the US, but my mum is Australian, and I have dual citizenship with Australia (my dad is American). One of my mum's sisters lives in the US too (just down the street from us, actually).

Most of my family lives in Melbourne. (Actually, I recently found out that my family has been in that area since about 1800.) My nana used to live in Melbourne, but she left the city to live out in the country in a retirement community. She still lives in Victoria, though. I love Australia!
