I've been looking around this site for awhile now so I guess I'll introduce myself.

Like the title says I'm Dan. I'm a 20 year old student at the University of Illinois studying physics and linguistics. Besides feeling completely alienated from other people I have had many different problems growing up. At age 2 I was diagnosed with "processing problems" and ADD. In kindergarden I had a lot of difficulties ranging from coordination and writing difficulties to being unable to cross my body mid-line (I had to scoot in my chair when I wrote and such). My ADD diagnosis has been confusing to me and my peers for years because my ability to concentrate on what is interesting to me surpasses anyone else I have met and according to my friends anyone they have seen. When my 11 year old brother William was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome my mom noticed the traits we shared between us and referred me to the same psychologist. So now I'm waiting on my full psychological report but she said that she believes I meet the criteria Asperger's Syndrome as well, and I must say from what I have read here things are finally starting to make sense, and the questions I've been asking myself for a very long time are finally being answered.

So with all that said I'm glad to be here... thank you all for helping me learn about myself.

Welcome Dan!
My son is Autistic (hes 5), and thru the past 3 years of research....I am convinced that my husband is on the spectrum...possibly Aspergers. I spoke to him about it, and he agrees. He said that everything is falling into place, and it sure does explain alot of things for him. He actually thinks in pictures (like Temple Grandin). It has really helped him understand himself alot better.

Again, welcome to WP, there are a lot of great people here!

My mom had me take it quite awhile ago, I believe I scored a 173, but this was 5 months or so ago so I could be wrong.

I took it again for fun and this is what I got:

Thank you for filling out this questionnaire.

Your Aspie score: 175 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 27 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie

I think in pictures as well oblekis! I visualize music even sometimes as a series of points moving up and down in space (especially when I'm trying to remember a song I've heard). As a kid I would spend a lot of time reading alone, and never understood why other people didn't like books like I did, and I guess it is because they couldn't visualize it like me. I've never heard of Temple Grandin though until now, so I'm gonna read up on him thanks!
