I'm 17 and have Asperger's.
I was diagnosed with Autism when I was about 3 or 4, but then as I grew older it became apparent that it was only AS. As well as AS, I'm currently being screened for ADD. I wonder how common it is to have both disorders together.. :O

While I find it relatively easy to blend in with NTs, there are still parts of Asperger's that make me different from everybody else. My NT friends just accept them, and it's probably the reason they like me so much. I'm quite lucky really.

I'm not a huge forum person, but I'll try and remember to come by and contribute as often as I can. I don't have any other friends who have Asperger's so I thought it'd be interesting to go find some.

So that's me. Oh, and I'm from Britain and I'm quite female, just so you know. I'll even throw in a picture: http://neppy.hexuss.org/yhsh.jpg

Lalala....

I've already been diagnosed with ADHD, and am now 95% certain that I also have AS, so when I get diagnosed with that too, that will make two of us :)

I was actually diagnosed with ADD first, when I was five years old, and then with AS when I was fifteen. ADD and AS are comorbid disorders, so they commonly occur together. Adderall really helps me, and many people never realize that I have it.

That's odd. Maybe any ADD-related characteristics of mine were simply blamed on the Asperger's.
