Hello, everybody. I'm new here, though I've been looking at articles here for a few months. I suppose I should introduce myself.

I was diagnosed with AS last year, after more than twenty years of wondering why I never seemed to be able to connect to anyone. I currently live in Vancouver, but I am originally from the southeastern US-- I grew up in Georgia, and for three years went to college in Florida. I never fit in there, which is why I ended up in Canada. I am an art student at Emily Carr University, majoring in general fine arts, but I'm most interested in painting. Aside from art, my interests include maps, written language, computers, and listening to music. My musical tastes are widely varied, but my favorites are the Mars Volta, NIN, Porcupine Tree and Tool.

I'm looking forward to hopefully making some new contacts who can actually understand me.

You didn't fit in Florida, so you ended up in Canada? I think I missed a connection, my problem, not yours. Vancouver BC is so very beautiful. Vancouver WA is so so. Do you have any of your artwork posted anywhere we could see it?
