They're not parallel. Lines of latitude are parallel. Lines of longitude are great circles. :P

Welcome to WP, Michael! :)

ok try this one:

a magic man goes to a man and gives him a number of flowers.
he then goes to a magic river and the amount of flowers he has is multiplied by 10.
he goes to a second man and gives him the same number of flowers he gave to the first man.
he goes back to the magic river and has the number of flowers in his hand multiplied by 10.
he then hands a third man the same number of flowers he gave to the first two men and has no flowers left.

Question: how many flowers did he start with?
