I've had an account here for about a month or two but haven't been as active as I'd meant to be.
I guess it's because I'm shy, or really bad at typing.
But all excuses aside, I'm going to make this my second shot at being a contributor and member.

...so what's your story, nonfelixnon. care to tell us a little bit about yourself?

Well...
My name is Eric and I'm 16.
I was diagnosed AS back in '03 along with one of my younger brothers. Apparently autism as well as most other neurological abnormalities run back almost four generations in both sides of the Fam (my Dad is low functioning and my Mom is higher, two older siblings who are bi polar, etc.). Lucky me.
I'm currently attending college and in the process of sueing the pants off of my (former) high school, principal, and the school board to get better special education services for people with higher functioning autism (which, in Alabama, is not recognized as a mental disability).
Other than that, just trying to live life and play normal until I can get out of this bass ackwards town I live in.

Good for you! If you've accomplished so much by age 16, just imagine what the future holds!
