Actually I named myself after the character of Skippy on the sitcom Family Ties, which Michael J. Fox starred on as Alex P. Keaton. (I've been a fan of Michael J. Fox for a long time.) Family Ties was his "big break" so to speak and then in 1985 there was Back to the Future (one of my favourite films)...
