I've always sucked at making conversation with people. I just don't get it. And I've always been depressed, except I decided I was going to do whatever it took to be happy, and then a couple days ago I talked with my therapist and we agreed that I didn't need to come back anymore. But today I went back to wanting to kill myself. And then I randomly found an article about aspergers and realized I had a lot of the symptoms. I guess I'd just really like to know what I should do if I want to find out if I have it or not. What's the best way to find out?
And I guess I wanted to say even if I don't have anything, I like this place. You guys seem so nice and welcoming. If it turned out my brain was normal, is there a rule saying I can't stay?

I think I meant autism. My sister says I was wrong. But I don't know really know the difference. I'm new to this.

Now, I'm no expert at this, but what I do want to say is - Hang in there!! !! !! ! I come and go in the whole pointlessness of being kind of stuff, but I'm sure there is meaning to it all. Take care..

I am not sure where you live but the best idea would be to contact your local Autism or Asperger group and they can advise you where you can go for a diagnosis if you like, say if you need government assistance. Otherwise many adults are "self diagnosed" which is ok too.

Best wishes and feel free to ask more questions.

You can stay. We have lots of self-diagnosed NTs here.
