New person here from UK, 20 years old currently at college. Great website, have been a lurker for over a year but haven't got round to joining now. Are any you'll at college, how you'll finding dealing with all the people and the proffessors?

Hi dfgh and welcome to the wrongplanet. I too was diagnosed with Asperger's. Just keep upbeat and positive about college, and remember that afterwards you still have your life in front of you to live. When I was in college I used to channel my interests into research papers and assignments---that was fun. Perhaps you can do the same. Today, I am a teacher (of 21 years) in a public high school. I found the educational environment comfortable for me since it is the only place other than my home that I have ever known. I didn't fit in with the party scene at college, so I chose to not participate in that stuff. I first attended a local community college and knew a few people there. But then I went to a larger college further away, and I had absolutely no friends there. But for me that was alright. I liked it that way because when I came home after classes I had family and some friends here. Enjoy your college experience and remember it is for you to learn the knowledge you need for your career. Please respond back with me and I can share further about my life at college and how I handled it. I'm sure there will be others that will help you to with advice.
