Books: lots, but none among the latest

TV shows/Movies: TV shows: nature documentaries (A&E and Discover), World TV, true crime; and yes, some ER. Movies: None recent. The Conformist, The White Dawn, A Brief Vacation, Journey to Rosebud.

Instrument: guitar, learning piano

Education: BS in chemical engineering, AS in GIS (geographic information systems -- computerized mapping)

Family: no family ties

Clothing: casual and frumpy

Plans for the future? travel to Europe, Philippines, Central America.

Any comments? Am also a lifelong dysthymia sufferer (that's mild depression). It's inherited. I look forward to sophisticated conversation.

Hi Dale! Your subject, "language learner," caught my eye when I was scanning through older threads. I'm fairly new to WP myself and also love learning languages. It's been a lifelong obsession (sadly thwarted by my lack of executive function, poor impulse control, and heavy procrastination....at least I have a name for these things ).
