I have taken the plunge and joined. I'm an undiagnosed Aspie, currently pondering the value of going for a diagnosis (I am female and in my mid-thirties) and how to broach the subject with my family. I have a passive, fairly mild form as far as I can tell; I live alone, hold down a full time job and I get by pretty well, though it has had a profound affect on my life and it continues to do so.

Wrong Planet Syndrome is so right; I've never felt like I belonged, I have never fit in anywhere or had a sense that that will ever change. But there is such deep joy for me when I fully indulge my obsessions, that the world I don't belong in falls away and I can be entirely me. There are wonders with this condition that I wouldn't swap for anything.

Being here is like walking into an AA meeting - Aliens Anonymous. For the first time, I feel like I may have found somewhere I might belong.
