Hi, I'm new here.
I was diagnosed with AS some time in early childhood and given some follow-up tests later on. I used to be particularly obsessed with meteorology and microbiology, though when I was 16 or so I decided to pursue a career in writing instead. Now, 20, I'm in third year English Honours studies at my university and doing pretty well with that.
I like all kinds of film and literature; although it's a broad topic, I suppose it's fair to say I'm obsessed with stories and their structures and mechanisms. My favourite movies include Picnic at Hanging Rock, Alien, Solaris (the Andrei Tarkovsky version), The Seventh Seal, Das Boot, Ghost World, This is Spinal Tap and plenty of others. As for TV series, I quite like Twin Peaks, Dexter, Firefly, Serial Experiments Lain, Blackadder and so on. I'm slightly less decisive when it comes to literature--so much of it's so good--but I began that obsession, when I was 16, with the works of H.P. Lovecraft.
Anyway, for fear of being long-winded, I'll cut this short and skip to the most important thing of all: my favourite foods, which are artichokes and blood oranges. Mhmm...
Hi, and welcome to WP! I got into Lovecraft when I was about 14 and I can tell later where it shaped my perception of the world! and have a specially painted "11" on the ancient dial of my retro radio volume control. I loved the cinematography of Seventh Seal, but I haven't seen it since film studies in college.
and Artichokes are the food of the Gods! (along with Pomegranates!)
