Hello everyone I am new to the whole spectrum discussion concept, although I was diagnosed several years back. I'm just feeling the need to connect and share my experiences to better myself and hopefully help others too. I've gotten lonely recently as the last fairly close person I knew has moved away. I've also started trying some medications more seriously lately. I think I am worried I have not learned enough social skills and I don't want to get to old to before I figure some more NT social behaviors out. Surprisingly after looking around some forums I think I have actually had it easier than a lot of people on the spectrum. I think of myself as an optimist and apparently I have not had as negative interactions with NT's as some others have. But, I still have some strong social anxiety and I think the best way to learn to deal with it is to develop friendships with and observe others like me so I look forward to sharing more here and hopefully getting to know some of you well.
