I guess I didn't introduce myself though I thought I had. Probably had something typed up then one of the kids had a crisis and had to close a tab or something. (shrugs)

I have four kids and one on the way. One of them has been diagnosed with mild to moderate Autism a couple of weeks ago. His twin is currently being tested for Autism as well. My oldest son has ADHD and may have Asperger's...how do you spell that?!? lol

I have been researching this for 5 months and after all of the info on ASD's that I have found, I am near certain that I, my oldest son, and my dad have Asperger's.

Just here trying to learn what I can and meet other people who know what it's like to deal with the things I deal with, and what my kids deal/will deal with.

Sorry I don't have an eloquent speech lined up...I'm a little overwhelmed at the moment.

We're mostly harmless...there's a Parent's discussion forum you might want to check out.

Hi okiemom, Being a mother of children is a journey in it self with each child a new journey, then a misunderstood difference, which opens a window that has been closed, Aspergers is just an addition that enhances your wonderful diverse family

lol thank you mega andy ( thought I had seen Aspergers corrected so I typed Asperger's. Can anyone tell me definitively how it is pronounced? :P

Thank you for the welcome everyone.

asplanet, it definitely is a big open door for us. Growing up my parents were the "pull yourself up by the bootstraps-there's nothing wrong with you" type of people. It's refreshing to know that there is an explanation for all of the answers that have eluded me all my life, along with a plan of action, and the knowledge that my kids won't have to go through the same kind of stuff.
