I guess I should introduce myself

I've been lurking on here for just over a week and have already made a few posts so I figured I should introduce myself.

I'm Mike, I'm 21, 'aspie' from North Yorkshire, but currently in Newcastle-under-Lyme I'm a politics student at Keele - and generally a politics geek though I have other interests too - I'm into computers which was formerly my 'main' special interest and I'm also a Germanophile -okay so they don't fit together. So what...


As to why I came to this site, not entirely sure, suppose I just want to talk to more aspies; I don't actually know any other aspies in 'real life' and thought it would be a good thing to meet more people in the same situation... and this forum seemed interesting. I also signed up to aspie affection (currently single too and kind of looking - not my biggest priority at this precise moment) but there don't seem to be many UK people on there.

Have been diagnosed since age 10, though at times I wouldn't admit it to myself.

Welcome to WP. I'm awaiting assessment myself, with a preliminary private appointment next month, after a failed attempt on NHS a few years ago.
