In the 7th grade, I was quite politically opinionated myself--I backed the Republicans back then, but unfortunately, this was also when Clinton replaced Bush Sr. as president--although I will admit that Clinton was not too bad for a Democrat, especially after what my parents told me about Jimmy Carter. I was pro-Republican until shortly after the 2004 presidential election.
Incidentially, this was also about the time that Hugo Chavez, the president of Venezuela/owner of Citgo, started spreading his ideology throughout Latin America. Now I am 180 degrees away from where I was politically in the 7th grade. I am a leftist now--but not necessarily along the lines of Chavez, more like Lula (president of Brazil), Tabare Vasquez (president of Uruguay), or Michelle Bachelet (president of Chile).
