Well, yeah, I have Asperger's, but there's something else.

Before I signed up, I had a little look around the forums.
On a whole, people here don't type:
"iya ow r u lol xxx"
"yh lol im gd thnx haha lol brb"

On a whole, people here type:
"Hi, how are you?"
"I'm doing good, thanks. Oh, something's come up, I'll be back in a minute."

Thats why I think I might just fit it here 8)

Welcome,

Maybe the urge to seek out, meet and connect with your own kind has brought you here.

Call me old fashioned and out of date, but I feel much more happy typing words in full. I think that while the occasional use of a shorthand version of a word is OK. If a post or letter is written totally in "text speak" I can not understand it. Much of the time when someone types SFW or something like that I have to go and look it up.

Diagnosed under the DSM5 rules with autism spectrum disorder, under DSM4 psychologist said would have been AS (299.80) but I suspect that I am somewhere between 299.80 and 299.00 (Autism) under DSM4.

When you put it that way, I feel like I'm about to undergo initiation into a secret society 8O

I feel the same way. It's a bit of a perfection thing for me, I feel unclean if I havn't written a sentence correctly.

When I first started using the internet, I saw a lot of "lmao". It appeared at the end of every joke, lmao, lmao, lmao...so one day I said;
"Who is lmao? He sounds like a great guy!"

yes the paddle would be quite cruel.. ;) & often inappropriate, it would be funny though, at least to some.
Anyways welcome & rest assured there will be no paddle on my watch.. unless they're "stealth" paddles..

Sadly you will not be getting a welcome pack in the post which would contain some sticks of chalk and details of how to mark walls with a secret symbol, and details of how to find, use and create a deep letter box.

What does lmao mean ?

I feel bad if I make an error while writing on a sheet with a pen, I like to get a new A4 sheet and copy the text out again so avoiding having a messy correction on the finished sheet. This is why a word processor is so good for me, but when I am posting I tend to type too quick and sometimes I add extra letters. Sadly I do not feel motivated to then take the time to fix every typo I thus make.

Everything you just said sounds really cool...I think I need to be a spy or something

LMAO= Laughing My Ass Off, hence why it appeared at the end of every joke, and why I thought "lmao" sounded like a great guy xD

I know what you mean completely, I can't stand using tippex and I have this annoying habit...whenever I make a mistake, I cross it out. But I cross it out in a special way. I do three pen strokes to the left, three to the right, six up, six down, three diagonally left, three diagonally right, then I go round and round over it with swirls. This is why word processing is easier and quicker xD
