It's not just Wrong Planet. Lately, it seems like the entire online Aspie scene is dying, with the unfortunate exception of the most authoritarian, gratuitously censored forum around. The small place I've been posting on since 2013 is completely deserted at the moment. Sad times for those of us who reject more conventional forms of social media.
I belong to a forum not ASD related. The sites owner is now putting all his efforts into the facebook page. The software works fine but we are down to a core of about 10 posters. But they are quality posters.
Back on topic the type of difficulties we had were particularly difficult for autistics who get disturbed by having thier hyperfocus interupted and who have executive functioning time planning issues. I think most NT forums with similar problems for such a long period would be in much worse shape then we are. I think that this forum still has a lot of life is because of the Autistic traits of loyalty and reluctence to change and the quality of the posters. I was reading a blog by the Autistic anti psuedoscience advocate Fiona O’Leary. She had the misfortune to join a facebook group where the use of Aspergers or Aspie was highly discouraged because they thought those who use those terms were anti neurodiversity and ableist against other autistics.
