We seem to be under a spam-attack, in at least the general autism forum...

Not again.

Might take a look at Forums page: 12:58 pm pacific standard time .Flooding

A really dumb spambot account, Bonitaguru25 joined earlier today and has posted 92 copies of an advert for abortion pills to the General Autism Discussion forum in the space of 40 minutes. (Some are in Arabic, but it's the same ad.)

Nice work! I cannot fathom the logic of these things sometimes. On another site I use, a lost bot is currently burping out thousands of pages of Chinese marketing word-salad in the topic headings of an abandoned sub-forum that wasn't frequented by Chinese speakers in the first place.

Some appear to be badly managed bot farm campaigns just spewing out rubbish. If someone's paid for this "service" they're not getting value for money.
And it's a mystery how they presumably expect someone to click on one of several 10's posted to the same location and go "Hmm, that looks good - I'll click my way through it".

But the saddest are those who think that by filling out the profile with spam they're getting free advertising.
Guys, it's not displayed and it's not scraped by search engines.

I have received two private messages of spam from the following account which seem to be attempts to lure one into contacting them to the end of 'account sharing' and 'remote work'.

New spambot outbreak: new accounts atishtiwari83 and sneha10020 are posting lengthy adverts for Temu in semi-coherent German across several different boards.

It's always best to make a report on a sample spam post - it's then an easy matter to check the other posts made.
These particular Temu spammers have been reported; reaching for the flamethrower right now...
