There is a very graphic sadistic fantasy type thread just been posted. I really dont think it should have got through. I'm not in favour of censorship but what is the system for blocking such nastiness?

It's obviously not possible for anyone to help this man on WP and as it's likely to frighten and upset a lot of people I think it should be deleted.

How does that work? There can't be a small army of moderators checking every post as it comes in, How do we draw attention to something like that quickly before more people read it and get freaked out like I did. As we don't know what experiences people have had in their lives that may echo the content of that post.

WP is so brilliant and has helped me a lot so far but that is very offputting as obviously you dont know what a post is going to say until you have read it.

I think with the suicidal posts it the feeling of helplessness that is difficult. I've mentioned that I was worried about suicidal thoughts in a post but it was in relation to a particular issue which I got some brilliant advice which helped put things into perspective and I'm grateful for that.

Is there no report button to bring posts to the mods attentions? Most forums have that system.

Can't work out how to PM a moderator, but then I doubt I'm the most computer literate person on here. Could someone else do it? I just looked at the rules and anything violent is banned content. Anyway, maybe there can be system put in place if it happens again.
