ITried to post a blog entery today

For some reason the system rejects my post with the message:

Quote:
Sorry. Clickable links are not allowed in blog entries until you've been a member for 5 days.

This is strange as the posting firstly contains no clickable links and secondly I have been a member considerably more than 5 days?

I have never had it so bad, I don't know what I will do when I am kicked out of my home because I cannot pay the rent. I have not had proper work for over a year now and things are getting harder, I hate claiming benefit as somehow I never fit into any of the little boxes I am meant to fit into, I like to work and often work for just a meal and no money at all (but that is enough to bar me from claiming benefits). Proper jobs are a rare as rocking horse s**t and no one is going to employ me at my age especially as the past 30 years I have been self employed. Nobody makes anything in this country any more (the UK) and that is what I love doing, given the resources I can make any machine known to man and quite possibly a few that aren't.
Sometimes I feel sooooooo angry!

Allright I feeling a bit peeved at the moment and am having a bit of a winge but that it think is one of the things a blog is for I think :)
Have tried removing brackets and the slightly unsavoury word but to no effect.

SOLUTION FOUND.

1) Make a blog post with one word in subject and one word as body. It will work.
2) Edit it, and actually put your real text in it.
3) The blog is still broken, and merges all lines together. You need to insert

... whenever you are breaking between paragraphs.

DONE.

Monsterland, I tried your solution, and for me it doesn't work. A post with one word in the subject and in the body still gets that same error message. The one Iceb posted.

It's not an problem for me, since I've no plan to use the blog. I just decided to check out the issue after reading the thread.

Ok, it appears to be pretty picky about which words it likes. I tried "test" and "test" and it refused. But other combinations work.

Do this EXACTLY:

subject:
l;klkl

body:
kjlkjlkjlk

Further testing on my part seems to indicate it isn't so picky on the specific words, but the subject and body must be different.

Wow, that worked.

That didn't.

I managed to get both of my current blog entries online. I got that message you got at the end there, too. I just did some tests and they did indeed work, but they were private - perhaps this problem only occurs when it's set to Public? This is how I got around it anyway:
Write your full entry, and submit it.
When you submit, it should come up with what you wrote, with that message attached. Copy all of it except the attached message.
It should be there on your main blog page. Press edit on the one you just did.
If I remember correctly, it had been erased, leaving a blank entry, but I'm not sure. Paste your entry into the body. You will also have to retype your title.
Make sure it is set to public, if you intend to make it so, and then submit.

One way of telling if it's going to work or not is below the body section, it says "Graphic: (optional)". If it's just blank to the right of that, it probably won't work. If you can see loads of emoticons next to and underneath it, it should work.

I'll be messing with this forever to get it to work and, with my luck, tomorrow I'll have 18 copies of the blasted entry in which I must delete each one with a lot of fuss. My question is, did it work before? I am not so computer savvy. I wish this could be fixed by the site right away, as I am also impatient.

I wouldn't hold your breath for it. I'd sign up for wordpress or posterous or one of the other blog services.

Okay, I have the procedure down.

1) Make a blog post with one word in subject ("l;klkl").
2) Place one word in the body ("kjlkjlkjlk").
3) Save the article.
4) Edit the article, replacing the subject and body as needed.
4) Insert
between lines, and

between paragraphs.
5) Bold text begins with and ends with .
6) Italicized text begins with and ends with

It works!
