In the past six weeks, have you noticed a difference in my attitude toward people?

I'm asking this here because it was the only place that seems to fit and the moderators have messaged me about my behavior in the past.

Just that today, I have an appointment with the Dr. about my abilify which I attribute to a better attitude.

To be honest I've only read a few of your posts lately; there are far too many on the site to look at. However, nobody has complained about you - if that can be considered a compliment! A positive attitude is always beneficial in everything in life.

No I haven't sorry. I haven't paid all that much attention to your posts and I don't go stalking people here all that often.

snide comments notwithstanding, I feel better I think at least in part due to the abilify.

Folks generally know who the trouble makers and the rude ones are.

If you thought I was mocking you or something, that was not what I was doing. I answered your question honestly.

Well I'm honest and he did ask right? If he meant I was the one who gave him a snide comment, that is the kind of BS people pull all the time when they get an answer they didn't like when they ask for feedback, then they go on saying how mean or rude people are or bullies. Maybe he wanted validation.

You would think an aspie wouldn't do it but surprisingly they do.


But I have finally figured out at age 25 when people ask something and then get upset with the answer they got, it was one of those questions where you were supposed to tell them something they wanted to hear.

Never ask for an opinion if you are expecting anything other than the truth.

Never ask anyone for their opinion. Not only could you be hurt by the truth, but most opinions are like used diapers ...

FWIW, I was puzzled too. Your response didn't seem snide to me, although I can see how it could be read that way. And the remark "ahh, the daily life of aspies" went over my head.

Now let's see how someone responds to this!

Edit: To be slightly more accurate, my first impression of what you wrote was that it was slightly sarcastic. Even on re-reading it, I still get an impression of mild sarcasm, but it doesn't seem to have been intended offensively, just as a neutral piece of humour. If I were on the receiving end, I might take it personally, although I would also try to check whether I was being made fun of or not. Not being on the receiving end, I didn't find it snide.

I also vaguely imagined that "ahh, the daily life of aspies" had something to do with us all being thin-skinned and inclined towards minute analysis of all social interactions, on and off the Net, but I'm still not sure if that was what was meant.

As for the OP:

I'm a newbie, and don't yet know anybody's style at all well, but I was a bit taken aback by your response "grow a pair" to someone who said he hated being male. It might not have been hurtful to the person in question, but I rather took it personally on his behalf (because I also hate being male, although perhaps for different reasons). It gave me the impression that you can be quite abrasive.

Nope I wasn't being sarcastic at all. I don't understand why it be read that way. He asked if we have noticed a difference for the last six weeks and I said I hadn't noticed and paid that much attention and I don't do stalking people. For me to notice, I would have to click on their profile and read all their posts from there.

I just don't read everything here so I will not see all posts by people nor by the same person. Plus my memory isn't that good to remember every single person unless I have a favorite or they somehow stick out. I get the aspie part now computerlove did.


I wish the OP would read this thread again to see it was not my intent but he might just think I am playing dumb like someone else here thought in a thread. Then I saw an ironic post by him about have you been banned from any forums and he said how he always gets banned when he fights back to people who make snide comments. I now have doubts that maybe those people were making those comments and he just took them that way. Do a false accusation on me, I will give you a benefit of a doubt when you go saying others do it to you. I will just think you are maybe misunderstanding them by taking it that way. I wanted to say something about it but decided not to since he might take it the wrong way too and cause a little drama.
