The light green and blue interface can be a bit offputting sometimes, it's a little too bright for me. Is it possible to have a selection of skins which are different, so that members can choose one according to their tastes? I would rather use a Darker grey/black interface, so as to not strain my eyes so much. Even different shades of blue and green would do.

Anyone else agree?

Neat feature. I'm thinking that the bbs itself ought to be
replaced though. This has to be one of the more browser-
unfriendly one's that I've seen.

It'd be nice if it was an InvisionFree or vBulletin forum.

vBulletin would be nice and I ultimately hope to migrate to a version of WrongPlanet based on vBulletin.

alex, i use a couple of bulletins that use vbullentin as its layout, theres barely any graphics as in avators (pic under user name)

ill give an example

http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=226801

i feel we are better off with the php thing we use now but just a wider range of choice of colors for the posts (one post green the next blue) im saying it would look too plain and "boring" in a way if it was transferred to vbulletin

sorry if it sounded like a complaint

No, that's ok. What you said was confusing because vbulletin is written in PHP as well. Also, it has great support for avatars. Anyway, the backend forum code wouldn't have anything to do with the look of the forum so switching to a different system wouldn't mean it'd look like any of the other forums. I think you should read about "templates" in wikipedia or something if you want to understand the concept of style vs. content

O.O

I know this is off topic but I just realized alex's Avatar is a dog in a spacesuit!!

Anyway, how's about more themes like the Sunset one? I use that all the time but ones like Afternoon and Night and various others would be sweet.

ohh ok, so the vbulletin look between this and the link i sent was because of the web master's choice of template? so from outside (website appearance) will basically look same but it will just be coded and on the server as vbulletin? and yes ill look at wikipedia about templates for vbulletin

Definitely not something like Doctor Who. You realize that would be illegal, right?

vBulletin is quite expensive I think. I like their layout, and the avatar size is perfect.
