Hi, everyone!

I don't feel as comfortable as I would like to elsewhere, so now I'm back here. I have decided to post this poll.

Alex has banned two different types of people from Wrongplanet. Of these two types of people, what types of people do you think deserve to be here more?

Posting links to other sites is not against the rules as long as its not an adult site and its not spammed. Spam basically meaning posted repeatedly in frivolous posts.

I guess by more power you mean power to say anything you want. If its not a personal attack , not an attack on a group or obscene then you can post it.

Obscence can be defined as pornography and excessive use of curse words.

I haven't seen any of those who grabbed
for power banned. 'Twas before my time.
But, I suspect that they would have had
to have been mods (or more), and thus
really couldn't be trusted in such a position.

Frankly, I think that anyone who WANTED
such a position, is suspect. Very much so.

Still, that doesn't seem a reason to ban the
people. If recent past is any indication though,
sometimes, when people are no longer mods,
they seem to be HARMED by this fact. A sign
that the issue above was probably in force.
Anyhow, if they make some attempt to
spam this site, and make it unusable, well,
certainly they should be blocked from doing
so, at least until they cool down.

If you or anybody else feels that Alex has acted on his personal feelings on a specific issue, contact me and I'll take it up with him on your behalf. Better yet, contact him first, and if you're still not satisfied, than contact me. Alex and I frequently disagree. We also frequently seek out each other's advice.

There was a thread a few months back about an aspie who had killed a bully. The membership universally applauded with "he deserved to die." Alex and I both found this extermely distasteful. He wanted to lock it, but sought my advice first. I told him that without a clear violation of the rules, it would be inappropriate to act, so he didn't. Eventually other members expressed their disgust. These things often work themselves out.

Whatever MrMark is, he is fairly honest. If he says he didn't ban you, he probably didn't. I certainly didn't, I was trying to talk you down at the time.

With regards to that bully, it would've depended on the bully's actions. Death was almost certainly not the answer. Where's the thread? Or was it deleted?
