New layout is annoying

I really dislike having the black thing up top as the menu. It's ugly and distracting. and why are the things in my account page all futeristic? I liked it before when it was simple. Now it's ugly and sucks.

I mean especially the black thing. it jumps at you. it's annoying. I preferred it when you just saw that before you logged in.

i cant find the log out button. i cant have my public thinking im still browsing the forums when i'm really eating a pizza watching charmed

I like the new "cleaner look". Takes a bit of getting used to.... I wish I can get a cleaner looking forum page with
Windows Vista though, my Ad Blocker doesn't work all that well with Vista. I'm going to try Ubuntu on my new computer,
I tried it last week on my laptop and I got the Adblocker to work very well.

I NEED the black bar, as I can't get to the controls
any other way now.

Ok, so the menu on the left has purposefully disappeared? And here I thought it was new problem.

So, we can't choose our own skin anymore? I keep thinking that I'm logged out.

Isn't it a bad idea to change things like this on a page for people with AS? I know last time it changed people got upset and it was changed back again.

It would be really great if the menu in the left hand panel could be put back, or if there could be a way to choose one of 2 different layouts - one with menu along the top and the other with menu on LHS so that people could select whatever they preferred and found easier to navigate.

I hate the new layout. Looks all empty and freaky.

I miss the sidebar showing who's logged in, but I think the plain black bar at the top is more functional. It leaves more room for the posts, and isn't that what this site is all about?

On the other hand, I have to agree with girl7000:

Bring back the control thing on the left. Please! That thing ruled. I used it to get everywhere. I don't know how to log in now except by posting, and if that bugs, which it sometimes does, I'll be screwed!

i want to change my avatar but cant find the "account" thingy to do so. does anyone know where it is? and i still dont see the logout button. ive basically just closed my browser and it logs me out, but would just like to let you know that theres probably a bug. it sais i still need to log in but i already am
