Ask an NT

I think it would be really great if there was a board where NT people would answer your questions or even they could ask you questions to get a better understanding.
There are so many questions i would like to ask many NTs at once and i know i cant and if i can they could lie unless its on a forum where they are there to help.

....then why don't you just go ask an NT? why do we need a board? how could we even be sure they *were* NT?

What would you ask ?

I have asked NTs questions and over heard them calling me strange afterwards or they have just ended the conversation and walked away.

1.Do you sometimes see letters changing colour to red when your reading a book and get confused as to weather the letters have been put in in red or your eyes are playing tricks on you?
2.Does noise ever cause you pain and if so what type?
3.How do alot of people do so well on factual quizzes when most people hate facts and dont enjoy factual conversation.
4.Why do people get annoyed with other people doing well and want the recognition for themselves when really they are then putting themselves in the situation of annoying others who want to be there.
There are all kinds of questions id ask sometimes things that are really important to me and would help me cope better in this world if i had the answer.

There are quite a few NTs on WP. Generally, they don't go out of their way to announce their normalcy.

They are generally people who have a family member (or even several) on the spectrum. Occasionally they are people who are just interested in the subject. In all cases, they tend to be people with a sympathetic ear.

I suppose it might be nice if there were a gathering point, of some sort. Why not try out a thread in the General Autism Discussion, titled something like "Meet a sympathetic NT here". See if any NTs rise to the bait and/or anyone else wants to seek them out.

What a brilliant idea

You would need a selection of NTs for a fair view though and forum is a good idea because they place a lot of importance on looks and things and if an Aspie wanted to sit in pyjama bottoms with a bobble hat and things they could and it wouldn't put them off.

Just so you know, I am not sat in my PJs with a bobble hat but I do have an outdoor scarf on because it seems cold on my neck.

The thought of doing it myself feels over welming And i dont know how or even if i could get in trouble for spamming if i tryed to do it.
