French people adore prune jam. Here in France plums are known as prunes.

I suppose they might as well use the same word, since they are the same essentially, however prunes are dehydrated plums - similar to raisins being dehydrated grapes. Is the word for raisin the same word for grape in French?

Prunes are actually a kind of underrated fruit, if they are prepared properly.

Well no they are not expensive. I just was getting a bit too enthusiastic about prunes. It is probably best not to listen to me, I am still on drugs from my dental surgery this morning.

I know it sounds a bit odd. I was given about 6 injections to numb my mouth, and it worked, but it also made me feel kind of stoned and giggly over the last few hours. It is wearing off now though.

Better than being crazy with pain though, which has been how i have been feeling on and off over the last few weeks.

I hope you never need dental surgery, as toothache is no fun, though strangely the drugs made the whole surgery experience kind of amusing.
