For God's sake, never enter the PPR forum! Otherwise you'll shatter that blessed illusion. 8O

PPR Forum is the heck of wp if anyone else agrees with that statement. Otherwise Beware of PPR Forum's abilities!! !! !! !! !

This is what it should be like:

Yeah, I only go to PPR when I feel the need to "blow off steam" by playing with fire. I think it serves a purpose . . . of some kind.

Yep. Even though my partner-in-crime AG has been MIA for a while... he always livens up the debates.

LOL. PPR doesn't even count. Half the time we're just arguing for the heck of it in there. But hey, at least it's a good safety valve for any argumentative temperaments.

We acknowledge the fact that there are extroverted aspies, as well people who have a need for more conflict in their lives. :)

On a serious note, I've never been to the PPR board, but I trust your opinion :D

I'd like to give my two cents on the issue, as I used to be a forum admin myself, for a year. I used to have a rather small forum, with around an average of 10-20 active users per day. I used to do most of the moderating myself, with two moderators, one who didn't exercise his authority at all (he happened to be an expert on the subject matter, hence I appointed him). Going through this thread, I read that there are three moderators on wp, and currently around 100 members online! I think you guys are doing an amazing job, hats off to you.

As for spam attacks such as tubgirl images and such, I would suggest that you guys divide your time equally to moderate, according to timezones. For example, three moderators equals to eight hours each. Check every half an hour or so. I think that should be good enough to prevent such occurances in the future.

Btw, PPR is nothing compared to most forums I've been to. WP is a rather peaceful place, IMHO. Lots of Islamophobics here, however.

Lots of Islamophobes everywhere, demostrating once again that we're just not that different from NTs. We're just not that special.

I think we could do with another mod or two, but it's all up to Alex
(P.S. I'm a Doctor Who fan, I started watching it when I was about 5. My parents are also fans)

Khan_Sama, I don't think its fair that they have appointed times to mod this site, since they do have lives outside of WP, they can't Babysit 24/7

Remember people, it's just a freakin' web forum. It's not brain science or rocket sugery. Having mods in different time zones provides for better coverage. There is almost never anything that requires immediate attention. When there is, Lau and I can usually be reached by messenger.

Good point, MrMark. I've stuck my YIM up, as that seems reasonable. I often remember to have it running. :)

FWIW, I'm also laureeves on Skype, but we don't have that extension here on WP.
