Yeah, sorry. Don't worry, you're fine. I'm a veteran of 1...2...3.... 3 forums before this one. Besides, going mildly off topic isn't a big deal. Going WAAAAAAAY offtopic and completely changing the nature and subject of the thread is.

I'd like Alex to confirm this.
The conversation drifted naturally.
Of course, your OWN involvement
in this dispute has less to do with that,
and more to do with the bunker mentality
that you've brought upon yourselves. If
mods didn't see every criticism as some
slight to their own character, this place would
be much better handled.

Well, it seemed to me this thread was about a certain action from a mod, I believe there is a point here, if you can forget about calandale for a minute and just see the thread issue, it gets confusing, I am actually confused about this, is there a policy or rule about threads going that way off-topic and being that a good reason of lock such thread? when he or any other member could just have returned to the original topic by posting related stuff, doesn't that sound more reasonable somehow?

Not AFAIK, no, no policy. Yes, probably. But it's happened.

And it can be prevented in future very easily, and partially remedied by unlocking the thread.

At least we have someone here with a sense of humour. Where's the bookie?

Okay calandale, I have had enough. I have put up with enough crap to put me in the fertiliser business for a lifetime, and that is just IRL. So I am not going to put up with any more from you. You delight in provoking me.

My my. You really SHOULD watch your
temper. I've not been the one to stray
to insults, or claims of this sort yet.

Corruption? I don't think that's the word for
it. The only manner in which I'd apply that
is to claim that the power of the position
has corrupted the holders of it to the point
where they KNOW that they are right.

I'm awaiting my ban for being civil. :P

I ain't giving you the satisfaction.

I don't see much the point of unlocking it actually.

Yet, honestly, to my reasonably unbiased eye, it did appear that their character was brought into the debate. I know we're aspies here, but I can't help but wish to see these sorts of complaints structured in a manner more conducive to calm discussion of concepts rather than something that too closely resembles an attack. This is assuming that the point of such complaints is to arrive at a resolution of the perceived problem.

I think you should have this duel on intensity. Its then a level playing field.

Bollocks. For one thing, I don't have an account for Intensity. For another, because of the fact that I have this computer on lease from the uni, I can't access anything that will have violent and/or pornographic imagery. Finally, I wouldn't be seen dead on Intensity.

Besides, I never abuse my mod powers for deletion. The only thing I am willing to do is rearrange his quotes in my posts. And anyone can do that.

Sadly. I thought MrMark was handling
himself fine (outside of his brief tantrum).
But, QM's been spoiling for this. And now
that it's not about what was really a friendly
bit of humor on my part, I'm willing to oblige.

They can do more than that. I've
been assuming that your posts
have been honest representations
of what I've said.
