I don't think all the trump voters the first time around would be considered white supremacists but certainly if they vote for him in the 2020 election now that he's made it clear that he believes in those ideals.

I don’t know of any one here who deserves to be called a Nazi or neo-Nazi.

There have been white supremacist ideas expressed here. People, for example, post results of studies of IQs of various places on Earth in order to prove their “point.”

A person who voted for Trump is misguided, in my opinion—but to absolutely correlate the act of voting for Trump with white supremacy is dead wrong.

I'm not American, so I've certainly never voted for Trump. I've stated many times that I wouldn't.

People might vote for Trump merely because he’s “one of us.” He’s anti-intellectual. He “speaks his mind.”

Many people who vote for Trump do not think beyond a certain level. It’s quite unpleasant, and potentially dangerous—but it’s wrong to assume white supremacy in that person.

Personally, I hope Trump gets indicted eventually.

People really should just be nice and call out things they see as problems. If you say something about black people that's racist, you're probably at least a little bit racist, even if you didn't realize it.

It's like if you lock your car door when a black person walks by, you may not even realize you aren't doing it to white people.

This is not always true, but usually the ones who get offended the most for being called racists are racists who don't realize they're racist.

I'm not racist and am very offended if I'm accused of racism or any other aspect of hate but I guess I should get me jack boots on and goose step to the shops

For the record, if there is a record, I enjoy listening to all sorts of extreme views and conspiracy theories from both the left and the right, without subscribing to very many, if any, of the views on offer. I can listen to Infowars, for example, and find it both ridiculously entertaining and at times offensive, but I wouldn't seek to suppress that sort of stuff.

I'm curious as to whether Mr Plank feels that people in general, or the membership of WP in particular, have the 'right not to be offended'. Maybe it's a Boomer vs Millennial issue. I'm one of the former, as some on this site may already be aware.

There are many conservatives who are veering away from Trump at this moment.

I am, pretty much, one who believes in Social Democracy in the European sense.

People can get offended at anything so no I don't think you have a right not to be offended.

I don’t have the right to be not offended.

If I’m offended—tough nuggies on me.

But I feel people should make an effort not to offend someone.

There are many things which should not be politicized. Paramount among all this is COVID19.

Well I saw my hometown invaded by actual nazis who killed a girl with a car and violently attacked my friends who were just trying to get home and then the president said there were good people on both sides. The sides were the Nazis (almost all of whom came in from out of town) and everyone else who lived in the town.
